Age Relaxation for JRF
Candidates belonging to specific categories are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit as per the UGC NET December 2024 guidelines:
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, ST, and PwD Categories: Relaxation of 5 years (up to 36 years).
Candidates with Research Experience: Equivalent relaxation for the duration of research work (subject to a maximum of 5 years).
Women Candidates: Eligible for a relaxation of up to 5 years.
Armed Forces Personnel: Relaxation as per government norms.

UGC NET December 2024: Educational Eligibility
Master’s Degree Qualification:
Candidates must have passed or are appearing in the final year of their Master’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
A minimum of 55% marks is required for General and Unreserved categories.
50% marks are acceptable for candidates from reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST, PwD).
4-Year Bachelor’s Degree Eligibility:
Candidates with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in specific professional fields (such as Engineering, Technology, or other equivalent qualifications) are also eligible to apply.
