Aspiring candidates for the CTET December 2024 Primary Level (Class I to V) must meet the following eligibility requirements based on their educational qualifications:
CTET Primary Level Eligibility Criteria:
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and either passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) by any name.
OR
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks, and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), in accordance with NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Candidates aiming for the CTET December 2024 Junior Level (Class VI to VIII) must meet the following eligibility requirements based on their academic qualifications:
CTET Junior Level Eligibility Criteria:
Graduation and either passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
OR
At least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), in accordance with NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations.
OR
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks, and passing or appearing in the final year of B.Ed. (Special Education).
OR
Any candidate with a B.Ed. program recognized by NCTE is eligible to apply for TET/CTET. As per the guidelines issued by NCTE on 11th February 2011, candidates pursuing any teacher education courses recognized by the NCTE or RCI, as specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010, are also qualified to appear for the CTET.

Post-graduation with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in the final year of a 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. program.
